Derek Kief will be taking an unofficial visit and attending the game Saturday between the Ohio State University Buckeyes and the University of California Golden Bears.  The game will be at the horseshoe in Columbus and starts at noon.

LaSalle Lancers football team played Princeton Vikings on September 8th, 2012 at Princeton.  LaSalle won 35-21.

Derek ended the game with:
    •    5 receptions for 82 yards
    •    an average of 16.4 yards per catch
    •    longest reception of 33 yards
    •    1 touchdown

Derek Kief will be attending Big East Conference game Thursday between the University of Cincinnati Bearcats and the University of Pittsburgh Panthers.  The game will be at UC's Nippert Stadium and starts at 8pm.

Derek Kief - LaSalle vs. Covington Catholic - 1 Reception for 11 Yards (with quick summary)

LaSalle Lancers football team played Covington Catholic on August 31st, 2012 at LaSalle.  LaSalle won 27-11.

Derek ended the game with:
    •    1 reception for 11 yards
    •    an average of 11 yards per catch
    •    longest reception of 11 yards
    •    0 touchdowns

In form not typically seen from the passing LaSalle football team, the Lancers did their best to keep the ball out of the air.  With 3 of his starting offensive lineman out due to injury, freshman QB Nick Watson did not have the same amount of time in the pocket that he had the week prior.  His passes were not connecting (7 of 21) and he only shipped 3 in Derek's direction (1 of which was catchable).

Continuing the Legacy of Kief

You may recall the post from July 12^th titled, Congratulations to Derek Kief and His Family (and Fascinating Discovery).  In that post we revealed that Derek’s stepfather, Adrick Ceasar (formally Adrick Harrison) was an amazing wide receiver for Furman University from 1992-1995.  In this post, we will crack open a time capsule exposing the football legacy of Kief.

1970 Elder Football Team

The legacy of Kief began with Pat Kief, Derek’s grandfather.  Pat played in the very same league that his grandson plays in today, the Greater Catholic League (GCL).  Branded with #71 on his back and purple blood pumping through his veins, he was an offensive lineman for the Elder Panthers.

LaSalle Lancers football team played Lakota West on August 25th, 2012 at University's Nippert Stadium.  LaSalle lost 46-34.

Derek ended the game with:
    •    9 receptions for 116 yards
    •    an average of 12.9 yards per catch
    •    longest reception of 18 yards
    •    0 touchdowns
